Music Meme: 1994

Continuing my list of favorite albums from every year I've been alive.

1994

The Offspring: Smash

This is an iffy pick. I had even worse luck with music in '94 than I'd had in '92 (especially considering that I forgot about The Mission UK's Masque from '92 - one of my favorite albums of all time). The only two albums from this year that I remember liking all the way through were Smash and Toad the Wet Sprocket's Dulcinea and this is the one I had the stronger reaction to. It's not at all a good example of my tastes and it's been years since I've even listened to it, but man I loved "Come Out and Play" and "Self Esteem" back in the day.

Runner Up:
Toad the Wet Sprocket: Dulcinea

Singles:
Cake: "Rock 'n Roll Lifestyle"
The Cranberries: "Zombie"
Enigma: "Return to Innocence"
Liz Phair: "Whip-Smart"
Rednex: "Cotton Eye Joe"
