Not much new to report on the Jane Austen front this week. I did run across that portrait of Jane above by comics artist J. Bone at the Hey Oscar Wilde! It's Clobberin' Time blog.
I'm about 200 pages into my third reading of Jane and the Unpleasantness at Scargrave Manor. I don't want to talk to much about it and spoil my real review, but the name Lefroy did pop up in reference to Anne Lefroy, a favorite friend of Jane's. No mention yet of Tom in Scargrave Manor and I don't remember Anne's being mentioned in Becoming Jane, but apparently the two were related and it was through them (not through Jane's brother Henry as Becoming Jane claims) that Jane met Tom.
I think that's pretty much it. This week was mostly about Queen Elizabeth at our house.
