Where's Mike?: Day Three

First of all: Happy Independence Day, United States!

Here are some clues to where my family and I are today. If you feel like playing along, guess what they represent in the comments. The person with the most correct guesses over all four days wins a small prize.

You must be using Rapid City as a base and venturing out from there. Mount Rushmore, obviously. There is a prehistoric museum out there too, isn't there? I'm not sure, but I think I recall seeing signs for a dinosaur museum. Maybe not.

Coldest I've ever been was driving through there in March about 8 years ago. It was freakin' cold, not a cloud in the sky, and windy as hell.

We decided not to use a base for this trip. Thursday night we got a room near Devil's Tower, Friday night we slept in Hot Springs, SD where the Mammoth Site is (hence the mammoth in this post), and Saturday we stayed on a guest ranch in the Badlands. It made us travel pretty light, but it was a fun way to get around and see everything.

In case you haven't read today's post, you win the contest by the way. Shoot me an email with your mailing address and I'll get you some comics in the mail. :) Thanks for playing!
