What Are You Reading?

A short review of Vernon White's Birdhouse.

Flick Attack!

I watched the direct-to-DVD sequel to 30 Days of Night and here's what I thought.

Food or Comics

In this week's Comics on a Budget column, I mentioned the new Atomic Robo, Mouse Guard: Legends of the Guard, and The Extraordinary Adventures of Adele Blanc Sec. Among others.

Gorillas Riding Dinosaurs

This week I looked at the first volume of Black Metal.

Where did that image of the Brass Bishop come from? I remember him being mentioned in an early issue by Puck, but I didn't think they ever told his story.

Nice job, Erik. Just let me know where to send it and I'll put it in the mail. You can either send me a Facebook message or email me at michaelmay@michaelmay.us. Whichever's easiest for you. :)

Thanks for playing!

Anon, they finally showed BB a couple of times later in the series. The first time was in #121 of the original series. The second time (which is where this image came from) was from #15 of the Steve Seagle/Duncan Rouleau series.

Unfortunately, neither was nearly as cool as I imagined him to be from that early Puck mention (from #12 of Byrne's run, I think?).
