Pass the Comics: Straight Up Nazi Fightin'

South Seas Girl must stop the Echoes of an A-Bomb

And she's got to fight a dirigible crew to do it. [The Comic Book Catacombs]

Wonder Woman Returns

Why isn't Kate Beaton making Wonder Woman comics instead of J Michael Straczynski? [There's also a funny X-Men comic in this episode of Hark! A Vagrant.]

Futura vs. The Heartless Trio

[Lady, That's My Skull]

Futura vs. The Winged Fishermen

[Lady, That's My Skull]

Futura, the Mariner Queen

Lady, That's My Skull's Futura series sadly comes to an end, but only because Sleestak has reached the last of the Golden Age issues. It finishes stronger than ever though, with hawk-men, space pirates, and a giant sea serpent. I'm going to miss these. So much so that I'm tempted to track down her appearance in Star Fems magazine from the '80s, but I suspect that I'd find a much different interpretation there.

[Update: Sleestak reminds me that he did a post on the Star Fems version a couple of years ago. His analysis should be enough to dissuade you from wanting to see the stories, but if you're like me and need to see for yourself, he's got links to the pages too. Of course, if you're like me, you also won't make it past page 8.]

Keeping my fingers crossed that Sleestak will post Mysta of the Moon stories next.

Ooh! I'd forgotten about that post. Thanks!

And yuck. I didn't make it past the first panel "Futura" appeared in.
