Sometimes, I wish that I could chuck all this writing nonsense and draw instead. I used to be an okay visual artist in high school, but I didn't keep up with it. I'd love to be able to perfectly show what's in my head on paper. Writing is cool because the reader's such an active part in the visualization process, but it would be wonderful to just show what I want instead of having to describe it.These thoughts come to you courtesy of the new love of my life: the art of Clio Chiang. Heyyy, nice call. :) Clio's a pretty good online pal o' mine (btw, you spelled her last name wrong - it's supposed to be Chiang). I've always been in love with her stuff.

Trust me though, being an artist is just as frustrating. Nothing even ends up looking exactly the way it does in our head. It always comes out a little less cool, which is probably why we're so hard on ourselves.

If it makes you feel better, I was this close to also mentioning how sitting next to you at conventions makes me feel the same way.
Not that I'd give it up.
