Hey, it worked for The Producers.According to Broadway on Yahoo!, Mel Brooks has just finished the first draft of a musical version of Young Frankenstein. Shuler Hensley will (sort of) reprise his role of Frankenstein's Monster from Van Helsing, Kristin Chenoweth (the Pink Panther remake) will play Terri Garr's Inga character, and soap actor Marc Kudisch will play Police Inspector Kemp. The New York Post reports that Brooks wants Cloris Leachman to play Frau Blucher again. No word yet on who'll play Frederick Frankenstein or Igor.
They've finally figured out how to get me to New York to see a Broadway show.
