Waylong Jennings, Willie Nelson, Jessi Colter, and Tompall Glaser: Wanted! The Outlaws
This is ultimate country album for me. We wore this thing out growing up. There's so much good stuff on it, but my favorite is the Waylon/Willie duet "Good Hearted Woman."
A very close runner-up though is Tompall Glaser's "Put Another Log on the Fire." The Muppets did an awesome version of that song and one of my brothers and I learned it by heart. We didn't realize that meant we had to then perform it on command at dinner parties for our parents' friends, but I suppose a seven- and eight-year old singing, "Ain't I always nice to your kid sister/Don't I take her driving every night?" is pretty irresistible. And - truth be told - we didn't mind the attention.
