Sir Walter Scott would've been 235 years old today.I loved Ivanhoe as a twelve-year-old and have been meaning to re-read it ever since. I was disappointed to learn that Rob Roy had as much to do with the movie as the actual Robin Hood legends do with that Kevin Costner flick, but it was still a good read. Scott knew his way around an adventure story. Action, drama, romance... he had it all.
