The University Press of Mississippi sent me a press release about a new book called Walt Disney: Conversations. I sometimes despair at what Disney's company has become (though you'll never hear me complain about Pirates), but there's no denying that he was a brilliant creator.The book collects profiles and interviews with Walt and presents his views on things like popular culture, the role of entertainment in defining American life, and how to run a theme park. As a study on creativity, it should be fascinating.

the UMississipi conversations books are really nicely put together. I have Jason Whiton's Mort Walker one. They have a good series editor that really knows how to make a book work. This reminds me I've been meaning to get the Schulz one as well...
