By which I mean Mr. Lawrence Talbot, the one and only Wolf Man. I know I've done general werewolves already, but Larry deserves his own entry, don't you think?

The panel was awesome. What's next?

Anna Bongiovanni, me, a very handsome young fan who obviously comes from excellent genes, and Melissa S. Kaercher.

The library comics panel went well and was a lot of fun. It started off sparsely attended, but the crowd grew as it went along. The conversation went really well too. All the panelists seemed to enjoy being there and talking and there were none of those weird silences that you sometimes get at these things. In fact, the discussion was still going strong when we had to wrap up and we probably could have gone for another half-hour had time permitted. I was sorry to have to shut up.

Tomorrow, I'll be spending the day at Source Comics and Games signing Cownt comics. Darla Ecklund will be there all day too and Jess Hickman will join us around 4:00 or so. We're planning on being there at least until 6:00 (or later if the crowds are good), so if you're in the Twin Cities, please stop by and let me moo at you.

Completing - for now, anyway - my list of favorite albums from every year I've been alive. I suppose I'll have to add another to the list at the end of the year.

The Ting Tings: We Started Nothing



I still remember the first time I heard "That's Not My Name." I was in the car and by the time the song was over I had it cranked up as loud as I could get away with with my son in the backseat. I thought to myself, "I'm buying this album as soon as I get home."

Then the song ended and David said, "Daddy, what's the name of that song?"

I said, "I don't know, but I'm looking it up when we get home and we're buying it."

"Good," he said. "I love that song."

And the rest of the album's nearly as good. We still love it and David came in to watch the video with me as I embedded it here. In fact, he's in his room right now singing the song.
