I think it does some things in a unique, thoughtful way, but it undercuts the good aspects with just as much silly nonsense. And yeah, the character designs are very off-putting.Michael Mayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12514945570212261283noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7857882.post-65009962634937109362020-12-15T20:10:18.809-06:002020-12-15T20:10:18.809-06:00Even if things are “canon” by their original creat...Even if things are “canon” by their original creator, doesn’t mean I have to agree with all of them.Erik Johnson Illustratorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11184274387021011687noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7857882.post-4829423270108076722020-12-15T19:49:21.727-06:002020-12-15T19:49:21.727-06:00I don't mind Scrooge being shown Belle's h...I don't mind Scrooge being shown Belle's happy life. It adds to showing what his choices have done to his own life. But this version is too much for me, in the scene you spotlight, and just in the off-putting motion-capture stuff. Too far removed from the original intent, for me anyway.Caffeinated Joehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18116651473308629663noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7857882.post-7820924023819627042020-12-15T18:13:46.027-06:002020-12-15T18:13:46.027-06:00Even though that's the way Dickens wrote it? Reliving the moment is painful enough ahead, why put to screws to him further?Erik Johnson Illustratorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11184274387021011687noreply@blogger.com
