Was really happy she was in it, but the explanation of how she got there was weak.

Kal: I agree. Jennifer Lawrence is unbelievably amazing.

Siskoid: I think Battle Royale has ruined a lot of folks on Hunger Games (I haven't yet seen BR), so I'm really curious to hear what you think. Also, Walter Mitty and Side Effects. :)Michael Mayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12514945570212261283noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7857882.post-55046209028721473622014-01-14T05:51:33.340-06:002014-01-14T05:51:33.340-06:00Seen the two Marvel movies and really enjoyed them...Seen the two Marvel movies and really enjoyed them, but that's all I've seen on this list.

Someone else in my entourage has strongly recommended Mitty, so I'll be checking it out. Just got Hunger Games on DVD - didn't see it in theaters nor have I read the books, my closest experience is Battle Royale - largely based on how much people loved Catching Fire. We'll see.

Side Effects? Didn't know there was another Soderbergh movie out there, I'm a big fan and will pick that up for sure. Gravity's also on my watch list.

And now I have some smaller pictures to keep a look out for as well, thanks for doing this Mike.Siskoidhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08266365376486695812noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7857882.post-39798350924151801842014-01-13T23:49:01.585-06:002014-01-13T23:49:01.585-06:00Gravity was the best movie experience I had all ye...Gravity was the best movie experience I had all year bar none but I too loved Catching Fire. I thought Jennifer Lawrence just elevated the material so much higher than what was on paper. I thought the ending was great and really made me excited for the final chapter.

Again, a few good ones I never even knew about.Kalhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00663751053844271849noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7857882.post-49789067099686245712014-01-13T10:31:31.872-06:002014-01-13T10:31:31.872-06:00Great list.
I too enjoyed Iron Man 3 very much. ...Great list.

I too enjoyed Iron Man 3 very much. It just missed hitting my list for this last year. I need to watch it again.

I have very little desire to see Walter Mitty. It looks quirky for the sake of being quirky.

Thor the Dark World was awesome. Hemsworth is awesome as Thor and Hiddleston hit his stride in Avengers and continues to crush it in this movie. SO GOOD. I love Frigga's fight scene. But it seemed to me Natalie Portman was sort of useless throughout.

Admission. Great call. We are big fans of Paul Rudd in my house. I love that he's going to be Ant Man. We also love Tina Fey. This was a funny and very sweet movie.

I don't like "war movies", but I was a big fan of Zero Dark Thirty. Very good. I need to see Hurt Locker now.Paxtonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04883124901219059661noreply@blogger.com
