The Uber Amazing Adventureblog

Brother Calvin has been so kind as to present the Adventureblog with an Uber Amazing Blog Award for being "interesting or inspiring." As I've said before, I think of Cal's blog and mine as pretty much annexes to each other, so it's nice to hear that he feels the same way. Thanks, Cal!

Here are the (slightly edited to serve my whims and idiosyncrasies) rules for the award:

It is the Uber Amazing Blog Award, a blog award given to sites that:
  • Inspire you
  • Make you smile and laugh, or give amazing information
  • Give you something great to read
  • Have an amazing design
  • Possess any other qualities you can think of that make them uber amazing!
The rules of the award are:
  • Put the logo on your blog or a post.
  • Nominate at least 6 blogs.
  • Share the love and link to the person you received your award from.
Here are my picks. I decided not to repeat anyone from the Premios Dardo Award and I've resisted the temptation to pass it back to Cal or to mention other blogs that I contribute to. Also, I've gone mostly with "inspirational" as my chief criterion.
  1. Golden Age Comic Book Stories (for all the amazing art)
  2. Journalista! (for excellence in link-blogging)
  3. Chris' Invincible Super-Blog (for the love of Awesome)
  4. NPR's Monkey See (for the entertaining thinking)
  5. Mike Sterling's Progressive Ruin (for his voice and dedication)
  6. Kerry Callen's Blog (for the funny)

You are very welcome for the award. Love the stuff you post. That jungle girl reminds me of Leelee Sobieski and I do loves me some jungle girls. Did you hear about this new Nemo movie? I quite liked the way he was portrayed in League of Extraordinary Gentlemen as an Indian prince.

Yeah, Nemo was one of the few things I liked about the movie version of LXG (Quartermain and Tom Sawyer being the other two).

I've heard about McG's version and I'm cautiously optimistic. I tend to like McG, but he was quoted as saying he wanted Will Smith to play Nemo (http://michaelmay.blogspot.com/2009/01/master-of-seven-seas.html) and that makes me nervous.
